Here are some thoughts of mine. I don't claim to be a poet or a writer of any sort, so don't expect much. :) Just click on one that sounds interesting and enjoy!

He planted the Truffula seed and took care of it
so…
Then as he was watching, it started to grow!
It grew and grew; it was a glorious sight!
He called to the Once-ler with all of his might…
“Look at this-a most beautiful thing!
Of all the trees, this is the king!”
The Once-ler came out-it was a sight for sore eyes…
Just then he saw something high in the skies
“What is that?!?” the boy cried out.
“Why it’s the Lorax,” the Once-ler did shout!
He landed on the rocks with the word “unless”…
And the Once-ler cried out, “I’m sorry, I confess!”
The Lorax came down and shook the boy’s hand…
“Thank you for caring about this great land.”
He turned to the Once-ler and said…
“I am the Lorax, who speaks for the trees…
For they have no tongues and you did as you pleased.
A lesson I believe you learned at long last,
But I fear that things can’t change in the past.
We must start here and we must start now!
And let things happen as they know how.
It starts with this tree that will bring more seeds…
And it will bring the fruits the Brown Bar-ba-Loot needs…
If we are lucky, they may come back…
For now, there is too much that we lack!”
The boy interrupted, “But we care a whole lot!”
The Once-ler agreed and added a thought…
“My greediness I know caused great trouble…
And left this place in a sad looking stubble…
I want to fix things and bring the Swomee-Swans here…
And the Humming Fish back to hum so clear…”
The Lorax looked sad and no one knew why…
Why did he look as though he wanted to cry?
The boy and the Once-ler looked at each other
Then all three looked at one another.
After minutes and minutes the Lorax finally spoke…
He spoke so quiet that their ears nearly broke!
“I fear my friends…that this place will never be the same.
Never the same as when the Once-ler came
Too much damage was done, but here’s what we do…
And listen close because it’s all up to you!
You plant more trees when the seeds finally fall…
You clean up the water, gluppity-glup and all!
Let nature go, as her course she will take
Greed is her enemy and her life is at stake…
Protect her from harm and she will heal the land…
And sometime later it will again look grand!”
With that the Lorax lifted off and a goodbye he did wave
They looked at each other and started their mission to save.
