Here are some thoughts of mine. I don't claim to be a poet or a writer of any sort, so don't expect much. :) Just click on one that sounds interesting and enjoy!

A few of God’s everyday graces
Are seen in every day places.
Like Cori’s three cats who make us laugh
Or the friendly faces I see on the staff
Fresh fruit from the man down the street
Or saying “bonjour” to all that you meet
HUGE desserts at LGM or Pommerae
Or going to the beach on a bright sunny day
Buying bananas out your taxi window
Or beach towels, too red, blue, or yellow!
Phone calls from home or from a loved one
And kids that love to hug you a ton!
A word of encouragement in a difficult hour
Or singing at church of the Holy Ghost Powa’
Packages that come six months later
And the Sapp family honoring the Sader
Alias nights and game nights, too
Of God’s little graces, these are a few.
Just for a moment, a few more to name…
This place without Tapha just wouldn’t be the same!
The guards who have become our friends
Or Yero who keeps us in the latest trends!
A full moon that lights up the dark, cloudy sky
Or a new Senegalese name like Mariama Faye
These are but a few of the things that I treasure
That God gives me for my good pleasure.
