My Mom

There are a lot of good moms in the world...I know many of them. But as I look back on the years, I can clearly see that God knew what He was doing when He stuck my mom with me. She's an amazing woman who puts up with me...which says a lot in and of itself. :)

So here is just a glimpse at why I think my mom is amazing...

  • She hems my shirts that are always too long for this short torso
  • She can get melted crayon out of an entire load of my clothes
  • She makes the best hoagies anyone could ask for
  • She spoils me with my favorite meal anytime I'm leaving or coming home
  • She has a knack for interior design stuff
  • She takes care of so many people outside of just her family
  • She likes to watch Gilmore Girls with me
  • She believes in me and pushes me toward my dreams
  • She has a great listening ear and good advice
  • She is the voice of reason in my head
  • She lives a life of faith that is evident to those who meet her
  • She is a good winner and loser in cards
  • She joins in my shenanigans where Dad is concerned
  • She doesn't get upset when I call after they've gone to bed
  • She loves me even when I'm unlovable
Obviously this is not an exhaustive list...but just a snapshot. Thanks, Mom, for everything! I don't know what I'd do without you...love you! :)

  • In total agreement. She's my aunt, not my mom, but it doesn't seem to make a difference to her. I remember when Aaron and I were young. We were playing in his room. Somehow gum got in my hair. She got it out for me. Patiently and carefully with lots of ice. [I remember this pretty vividly--and I think it was before you were born or when you were just a baby.]

  • Is she interested in adopting? I'm available; yeah, so what I'm grown, have grown kids AND 4 (soon to be 5) grandchildren...I still could use a good Mom!!!!! heh heh heh
