I like Sahara! :) Except wouldn't it be confusing if you and your cat have the same name? ;)
I think Steph is a good name for a cat ... ;) (Except I am officially against giving animals people names ... b/c most people hate it when people say "Oh, you're ____? That's my cat/dog/cow's name!")

Btw I said Sandy b/c I was thinking she was more sand-colored ... till I looked at the picture again. Though there is gray sand.
You could do something like Misty or Hazy in honor of her grayness.

sasha. your african name? cory's african name? sahara is cute, except I hated the sahara desert but it's NOT MY CAT. :) Name it lait chaud. I know it's stupid but oh my gosh, it's so divine it needs to be immortalized in some way. :)
