Ice, Interviews, and Inspiration
Ice...
...if you have checked the weather at all lately, you might know that the whole Midwest has had some nasty ice storms in the past couple of days. This morning I had to go to an interview...the worst part was going down my stairs as I pretty much held onto the rail and slid down them! But thankfully, while the sun was out, the roads were just wet. I forgot how much fun living in the north can be during the winter!
Interviews...
...I had one today, one tomorrow, and one the next day! When it rains, it pours! I'm not sure if any of these positions are "the one"...but it's nice to know that I'm at least wanted somewhere! All three are teaching gigs of sorts. I've also applied for a couple more positions other places (non-teaching). Seems like hope is on the horizon!
Inspiration...
...well, I call it my little revelation, but I had to go with the whole "I" thing. :) Today as I was driving home from my interview I was talking to God and all of a sudden it just hit me...but only time will tell if it was my long awaited "revelation". ;) I have decided that when I get a job, any job at this point, I am going to work on getting my certification to teach ELL (for those of you who have no clue what that is...its the new PC terminology for ESL - English as a Second Language). Then I am going to look for a job (anywhere, not necessarily in Iowa) for the next school year. I miss the kids...and I miss the international feel...and I miss the teacher schedule! :) So this would be ideal, I think...like I said, we'll see if this is my "revelation"...but it seems to fit me pretty well. :)

It sounds to me like it will fit you perfectly!! I envy that you are a teacher...that is a dream of mine...
The ice hit us too...and it's supposed to SNOW this weekend. I'm sorry, I thought this was Oklahoma and not up NORTH. How in the WORLD do you people handle this? It's insanity.
