So tomorrow I'm heading out for what is my last trip east for awhile. My roommate from this past year, Bekah, is getting married! I'm breaking the drive up on the way there...but on Sunday, I've got 13 hours in the car by my lonesome. Needless to say, I would appreciate any prayers and/or phone calls that day as I am sure to be on the road! :)

As for the flashback...this comes from none other than the house of Mon Amie when I was still in Cola. My last Sunday at their house, her sister, Hope, was in town. We ate a very healthy meal including this spicy butternut squash thing. I have to confess I was skeptical about it. But then, when you have a vegetable (?) that when it is cut up looks like a hook and you can can say "aye" like a pirate at the picture taking...well, it just can't be all that bad. AND for an added bonus...apparently you can eat the skin.
