Yep, that's right...no poulet here in Senegal. For those of you who don't speak French (like me) poulet is "chicken". When I first got here on Thursday, they informed me almost immediately that there would be no poulet yassa (my favorite Senegalese dish...made of rice, chicken, and an onion sauce) due to the bird flu...that chicken is hard to come by and when you can come by it...it is really expensive. So now ask me what I had for lunch after church today at Caesars...yep, chicken. I felt a little scandalous eating it, but it sure did taste good. :)

Anyhow, today is Sunday...and a lovely, lazy Sunday it is. :)
